Slow and Steady Sundays
Enjoy an exquisite Mediterranean buffet at Kasbah's Sunset Sundays
Last Sunday, we kicked off the week in a sand-in-your-toes-salt-in-your-hair fashion, right here in the middle of the city. Kasbah the Fort brings its Boracay vibe to Manila with Sunset Sundays, a rejuvenating, laid-back version of a weekday night out, a fitting finale to a weekend. Sunset Sundays feature an exquisite Moroccan buffet crafted (and changed weekly) by owner Madonna English herself, unlimited sangria concocted by host Nadine Lima, a souk-style bazaar with Flipped Out Cockatoos and artist and entrepreneur Deejae Paeste showcasing live art and Mister Clothing merchandise, and cool, steady beats from DJs Abdel Aziz and Mark Zero a.k.a. El Ministro.

The highlight of the night was Madonna English's carefully thought-out mediterranean buffet. For Php 695++, Kasbah takes you on a global gastronomic trip. For 895++, you can enjoy the same, plus bottomless sangria, personally concocted by Nadine Lima.
Kicking off the meal with the mediterranean 7-layer dip. It's so good, it must be partly why we can't live on bread alone.
Save room to sample all the appetizers, like Kasbah's Falafel, before scooting over to mains.
Highlight of the spread is Koshary, a Mediterranean version of paella made with lentil and rice, topped off with spicy tomato sauce. Two thumbs up.
Of course this feast is not complete without excellent Moussaka
My personal favorite, the one I knew I would dream about (I really did)--Turkish Semolina Cake
A clever take on a hit from home: Saffron and Cardamom Creme Caramel.
Cap off the meal with Nadine's secret-ingredient Sangria and a stroll around the mini souk-style bazaar. Catch Deejae Paeste and his fellow artists create art on the spot and do a bit of shopping at Flipped Out Cockatoos.

Top these all off with great company and a good night's rest. We can't think of a better way to get ready for Mondays.
